Submission Info
You are invited to submit an abstract or panel on any aspect of ultrasound that would be relevant to the proposed audience. While original data are encouraged, novel approaches to point of care (POC) ultrasound use, ultrasound curricula and evaluation are likewise of interest. Work that has been published or presented elsewhere prior to the time of presentation at the Third Annual World Congress on Ultrasound in Medical Education may still be considered depending on the topic and strength of the data presented.
Abstract Submissions:
Authors have four options to submit abstracts: 1) “Poster Only”, 2) “Oral Presentation Only”, 3) “Oral Presentation or Poster”, or 4) Panel. Authors are encouraged to submit using the third option since all papers submitted in this category that are not selected for oral presentation will be considered for a poster presentation. You will be limited to 450 words for your abstract submission.
Panel Submission:
You may submit a description for a panel presentation that includes a focused area of discussion where you and 2-3 colleagues address a single topic. The panel submission should include a) description of the topic, b) the general questions to be addressed by the panel, and c) the anticipated outcomes (educational or other) for the session.
You will be asked to submit under the following topics:
- Use of ultrasound in Undergraduate Medical Education
- Use of ultrasound in Graduate Medical and Continuing Education
- Point of Care ultrasound in health care delivery to underserved populations (Rural health, remote locations, and international work)
- Point of Care ultrasound in general clinical practice (examples include: outpatient settings, hospital wards, and intensive care units)
- Technology
- Patient Safety
- New Uses
